Final Four Will Play Down to a Champion
The stage is set for the final day of Event #5: 10,450 Mixed Max - No-Limit Hold'em. By the end of the day, Brandon Cantu, Jonathan Aguiar, Faraz Jaka, or Roger Hairabedian will crowned the latest champion of the World Series of Poker Europe.
Yesterday's play saw the final sixteen players engage in the heads up portion of this tournament. Each player to reach this stage was secured a cash, but ultimately had their eyes on the top prize and the gold bracelet. Phil Hellmuth, Jennifer Tilly, Bertrand Grospellier, Mike Watson, Martin Jacobson, and Jason Mercier are just some of the names to fall short of entering the prestigious position of the final four.
Today, the semifinals will take place with Brandon Cantu playing Roger Hairabedian on one table while Faraz Jaka takes on Jonathan Aguiar on the other. The winners of those matches will go on to play one final heads up match to crown the champion.
