Plenty of chips were in the pot with the board reading and Phil Ivey faced a bet worth 9,000 by Yu Liang. The latter was called and rolled over
for a full house to scoop a decent pot.
One hand later, Liang opened to 700 and John Juanda three-bet to 2,100 in order to force folds all around.
Then, three players saw the flop of and Ivey bet 800. Only Marcus Yi Lim called and Ivey checked the
turn, Lim checked behind. After the
river, Ivey checked and called a bet worth 4,500 by Lim only to muck when shown
for a busted flush draw that improved to two pair.
Those two pots took a toll on Ivey's stack and he dropped to half of what he staretd with.
