Welcome to Day 1a of the 2019 MSPT Wisconsin State Poker Championship
The Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) sees its next stop in Season 10 visit the Badger State for the 2019 Wisconsin State Poker Championship $1,100 Main Event at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino in Milwaukee, WI.
The tournament features a $300,000 guaranteed prize pool with three starting flights in total. Cards are set to fly at 3 p.m. local time for Day 1a, and players will receive 15,000 in starting chips with the option for a $10 add-on for another 5,000, giving players the opportunity to start with 20,000 in chips.
Blinds begin at 100/100 with 40-minute levels all day and 10-minute breaks after every three levels. Late registration is open until the start of Level 13, and players are afforded one reentry per flight, with play going until the completion of Level 15 (2,000/4,000/4,000) unless 12 percent of the field remains before that mark is reached. The stopping point of Day 1a will then determine the stopping point of the two subsequent flights.
All who do not advance in todays heat have the opportunity to fire again on Friday at 3 p.m. for Day 1b and/or Saturday at 1 p.m. for Day 1c. The field will then combine for Day 2 on Sunday at 11 a.m. to play down to a winner, where the final table will be live-streamed on a 15-minute delay.
Last years 2018 Wisconsin State Poker Championship saw 748 entries over three starting days, the same number for this year, and Brett Halen claimed victory to earn himself $144,812. The MSPT also came through Potawatomi this past April, where Daniel Bekavac topped a field of 625 entries to earn a first-place prize of $126,998.
