The hero earlier on, Joe Rahme has lost a massive pot to Jedd Kossew who stormed to the top of the leaderboard by quite some margin at the end of the first level after dinner.

It was the most classic of setups with the K?K? for Rahme and the A?A? of Kossew that got the chips into the middle. The board ran out 7?6?2?4?3? and that spelled the end for Rahme. Kossew also won the next much smaller pot without showdown against Jon Persent to build his stack further.

Table 16 was the next to break, but that had to wait after an enormous four-way all-in had brought no casualty and the main plus side pots needed to be split.

So what exactly had happened? Jon Persent raised to 3,500 and received three callers on the button as well as the blinds.

The flop came Q?7?5? and it checked to Persent, who bet 3,500. Gareth Fourie called on the button and Jaco Mouton jammed the small blind for 17,300. Keenan Pienaar in the big blind called, as did Persent and Fourie.

On the 2? turn, Pienaar pushed all-in and Persent reluctantly called, Fourie also put in his last 34,500 as well.

Persent needed an ace, queen or deuce to knock out three players. However, the twist then came with the 8? river as Mouton and Fourie improved to a straight. Mouton chopped the main pot with Fourie, Fourie won the larger side pot and Pienaar doubled the rest off Persent as no player busted!

Panayiotis Giannakopoulos limped in and called a raise to 1,800 by Colin Horgan in the big blind. On the K?J?7? flop, both players checked and Giannakopoulos bet the A? turn for 2,000 to earn a call. He bet again the J? river for 5,000 and Horgan then pulled the trigger with a large raise.

"Set? Giannakopoulos asked and shortly after said "a set of bullshit" before he folded. Horgan grinned and flashed his cards, the K?J? for a full house.

"I only show to get some folds later," Horgan grinned and added "I get very aggro at times".
